Dear friends and supporters
My name is Karthik and I am creating a fundraiser for my father Mr Balasubramaniam (65 years old) who is suffering from advanced stage prostate cancer and the complications it brings with it. He is also suffering from acute kidney problems and major loss in kidney functions. He was last admitted in SRM Hospital Kattankulathur, Tamilnadu.
Although the prostate cancer was diagnosed and treated in 2018, it has now reappeared with a vengeance and spreading rapidly throughout his body.
My father is a simple man whose main source of income was as a Priest. He is now critically ill and we have have little means and financial reserves.
Our family and relatives have all pooled in and raised around Rs 400,000 (4 lacs) which has already been spent on his treatment and we expect the costs to be much more going forward.
My mother (Jayanthi) is a homemaker and I have only started working since July 2018. We are doing everything we can to support him emotionally, physically and financially, but the financial support is simply not enough!
My fundraising target is Rs 800,000 (8 lacs) to cover his current and future medical expenses as he has been advised to undergo dialysis with immediate effect followed by treatment for prostate cancer!
