Hello everyone,
I am Avikalp Gupta from India. I have been accepted to attend the Stanford University summer session 2019 (including the Silicon Valley Innovation Academy). I want to gain knowledge and experience from this opportunity which I can use towards creating innovative solutions for the underprivileged communities, but I am running short of funds for the same. I hope to reach out to as many people as possible before the payment deadline for the course fee on April 3, 2019. I request for your help in reaching this aim.
I am a 24-year-old computer scientist from IIT Kanpur with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning. I have chosen to use my skills for social, economic and sustainability issues. I am the youngest core team member of an initiative of IIT Kanpur called Social Entrepreneurship and Enterprises (SEE - http://aaiitkblr.org/see/) since 2016. In 2018, I was selected as a Fellow of YSI (Young Sustainable Impact), a Norwegian organization which brings together excellent young minds from across the globe to create startups that will help us reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), defined by the United Nations, by 2030. Thanks to YSI, I am a creating InforMED Global (http://www.informedglobal.com/), a company focused on SDG3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG17 (International Collaboration). Through InforMED, I am creating a solution to save the lives of patients stuck in crisis situations like natural calamities, wars and refugee camps.

I have been selected for the summer session at Stanford University for a program called Silicon Valley Innovation Academy (SVIA), which is an exclusive opportunity for only 200 summer session students. This program will give me an immersive experience of the startup culture of Silicon Valley. This will give me good experience and connections which will help the growth of InforMED and enable me to save more lives. The immersive program will also be very valuable for my efforts towards creating the SDG driven ecosystem in India through SEE and enhance my efforts towards making other social entrepreneurs successful.
The whole program can cost me up to USD 30,000 based on the number of units I study. This is a lot of money given that I do not plan to stay in the USA to work for an MNC and earn back the whole amount. I want to use the knowledge and experience towards improving the lives of people in the developing and under-developed countries. Hence, I am looking for financial assistance from individuals and organizations which want to see a brighter tomorrow and realize the importance of enabling young individuals like me to create the required change.
Please support and share this as much as possible.
