Hi All,
This is Shyam from Vizag, currently staying in Hyderabad with my wife and little daughter who is 10 months old. She was born with two holes in heart, for which major surgeries are already done and the last surgery i.e. maxillofacial surgery is due in few days/weeks. The baby's treatment is going on with Star Hospital, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana. I am requesting for this fund raising because during this lockdown due to Covid-19, I am unable to earn via Ola bike riding as all are non-operational according to government orders and presently I am left with little money which will be sufficient to cover my daughter's medicine expenses for maximum 2-3 more weeks.
The primary reasons for the delay in surgery are the lockdown 1.0 and lockdown 2.0 due to Covid-19, finally the doctor has agreed to do the surgery as per the recent lockdown 3.0 guidelines from the government, but the funds left are not sufficient with me and hence requesting you to kindly help me so that I can save my little and only daughter.
Please go through my complete story so as to know how badly I want to save my little girl and the amount of funds that are needed so as to complete the treatment:
I used to work as a chef in Vizag, after which I bought a small restaurant but now I had to sell my restaurant and have become an Ola Bike driver in Hyderabad to save my first and only child Aushi. Aushi was born post complete term as the mother was not getting labour pains even after full 40 weeks of pregnancy. In the process of delivering via Caesarean at a small scale hospital near the parent’s house, the baby swallowed the Amniotic Fluid with Meconium. This led to difficulty in breathing and infection; she was rushed to King George Hospital (KGH) in Vizag where she was in incubator for 39 days. On the 28th day while performing a 2D Echo she was diagnosed with 2 holes in the heart. The doctors at KGH couldn’t treat this ailment, and no hospital in AP could take this up. So the baby was rushed to Satya Sai Sanjeevani Heart Center in Raichur, but even they couldn’t take this up. Until now I was trying to get treatment in trust/foundation hospitals, as we can’t bear the cost of private hospital. But, after the trust hospitals gave up, we approached Star Pinnacle Hospital, the doctors initially said that they can treat and gave and estimate of Rs. 10 lakhs, we tried all means and arranged about Rs. 9 Lakhs and got Rs. 1 Lakh from CM Relief fund. But after trying a couple of times the Star Pinnacle hospital said it can’t do the surgery as the baby is very fragile. They referred the case to Star Children Hospital, Vizag. I again rushes to Hyderabad, where they were given an estimate of Rs. 20 lakhs, with nowhere else to go, I sold my small restaurant, took loans at high interest and arranged Rs. 20 Lakhs and Aushi was operated upon to close the two holes in the heart. But she required more surgeries to set the windpipe issue where a maxillofacial surgery needs to be performed for her to breathe properly, this will cost Rs. 4 Lakhs and the weekly expenses are about Rs. 5000. I am looking for your help to raise these amounts to save baby Aushi. I have taken up the job of an Ola Bike Driver in Hyderabad and is unable to raise any loans further due to continuous lockdown by the Government.
