Samarthya is a registered Section 8 Not for Profit which is being led by Teach For India, BITS Pilani Goa, IIT Delhi Alumni.
Samarthya, over the last 2 years, has been closely working with the migrant communities in Delhi and Haryana. We have majorly been involved in getting these communities involved in the governance of their neighborhood government schools. In what can only be called a difficult time, we are committed to the welfare of these communities, especially the children.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown imposed to contain it has affected over a billion Indians. The restriction on movement has rendered many people without livelihood and access to basic amenities. Migrants are among the most adversely affected groups. A lot of these migrant workers have not been paid wages for the month of March. More and more families are running out of food stock and other essential supplies.

This fund is meant to ensure that basic amenities, including but not limited to nutritious meals, health & hygiene supplies reach the children and the communities in need.
