You’ll never know how strong you are…. until being strong is the only choice you have -- Bob Marley, Jamaican singer-songwriter

I (Vivek), and my cousin Hem Muralidharan are here to raise funds for Ashwin Kumar, our cousin who is recently diagnosed with cancer of the gastrointestinal tract that is fast spreading to other parts of his body and admitted to Billroth Hospitals, Chennai.

Ashwin Kumar, a cheerful personality with an ever-helping attitude is now battling this cancer with a willingness to live. He is diagnosed with cancer that is poorly differentiated and spreading aggressively. He is the only son of Prabha (aged 64), his ailing mother. He lost his father more than a decade ago and has been stretching himself to meet his family's needs when he went sick and got sucked into this most advanced form of cancer. As you would expect, this was heartbreaking and upsetting news for his mother, who had already lost her husband.

Ashwin was given ATT (anti-tubercular treatment) for one month that showed zero response. He is currently being treated at Billroth Hospitals. We've included his test results, which go into detail about describing his condition in medical terms.

His treatment will be extensive and expensive, requiring advanced cancer therapy and constant supervision. This is a financial burden his family will never be able to bear unless people like us express our love and support. We sincerely hope people like us will rally behind him and his mother. They've been through a lot in their lives; being able to assist them in fighting this crisis bravely would be enormously helpful.

Every dollar and rupee donated here would go a long way toward raising his chances of surviving.

Words can't express how grateful we are for your assistance. Please remember them in your prayers. Please help us spread the word about this page to your friends and family via social media.

You as a normal person will have your own life ahead of you at the age of 31. However, we have no idea what Ashwin's future holds after this.

Let us all unite to help Ashwin overcome his illness and live a pain-free life with his mother.
