    Ashram Residents

    from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh

Ever since 1989, Sewadham has been home to differently abled, mentally ill, dying and destitute people abandoned by their families and society from across India without any discrimination of caste, creed, age, ethnicity, gender, or religion. Tireless and dedicated work done at the ashram has since helped more than 8000 lives.

Sewdham is a non-partisan, voluntary organization running exclusively on public support.
Sewadham was founded on the principle of
“Manav Sewa – Madhav Sewa” i.e. Service
to Humanity is Service to God.

Sewadham Ashram achieved a major milestone in 2016 with the inauguration of “Avedna Kendra – Hospice center” which can accommodate 150 dying and destitute people, children, young and old, mentally and physically challenged people, who are suffering from chronic or terminal diseases, people affected with leprosy, paralyses and Polio / Cancer / TB / HIV / AIDS victims, oppressed, mentally ill pregnant and wed /  unwed mothers, and others who are on their death beds.

Ankitgram Sewadham Ashram was established by Sudhir Bhai Goyal, a humanitarian visionary who dedicated his life to serving such unfortunate souls. Born in Indore, MP in 1957 to a well-known family of Ujjain. He is fondly called as Bhaiji. He has been Serving Suffering Humanity for the last 53 years.
His journey in social services started at the early age of 13 in 1970, when he started a school in the village of Ajnoti. He wanted to become a doctor; his meeting with Acharya Vinoba Bhave, in 1976 changed his vision; and he took the path of serving suffering humanity.
He gave up the life of luxury and is working tirelessly & had left no stone unturned for the upliftment of underprivileged, abandoned, disabled, mentally ill, dying and destitute people.

We encourage individuals, corporate and other agencies around the world to actively support and participate in the welfare services being carried out for such helpless people.

Sewadham Ashram is making an all-out attempt to enter into projects for “Men and Women’s Empowerment” and self-dependence. This attempt is not only for the residents of the Ashram but also for the
prosperity of the people in nearby rural areas. Owing to poverty they are unable to provide even basic needs such as quality & nutritious
food, shelter and medical aid for themselves.

Under the leadership of Sudhir Bhai Goyal Sewadham Ashram has a Vision 2023 which aims towards providing shelter & rehabilitation, food, medical aid, education to special children, health & hygiene clothes, proper care and maintenance with love, care, and compassion to 1000 unfortunate souls who are living non existing life and abandoned, neglected by their own family or our society. His aim is to make necessary arrangements for imparting education to differently-abled kids, women empowerment, and make them self-reliant to enable them to lead a life with dignity and self-respect with the mainstream of society.
