I request for the support from you in this cause.
While serving in J&K region, I could also provide healthcare to the village population, especially women and children in this conflict area. This is when I realized my passion in community medicine and public health. I believe that strengthening public health is the key to build a strong and healthy nation. I therefore decided to take up MD in Community Medicine. After completing my post-graduation and senior residency, I continued working in rural and tribal villages in western Ghats of India and urban slums in district Raigad of Maharashtra, India. The communities in this region lack basic healthcare services and public health infrastructure.
I along with my team work to tackle the problems such as open air defecation, drinking water sanitation and waste disposal in the villages. Over a period of time, I realized that constant updating of knowledge and skills is essential for me to provide better health care. Also acquiring knowledge from the best institute around the world and bringing it back to our rural area will also bring advanced outlook towards the services we as community medicine specialists .
As much as I am bringing in larger organizations in, I do think that the support coming from with in our community and from people who do believe in my efforts and motivation to work for my community. I therefore appeal you to support me in this effort venture by helping me with this effort.
