we are happy family of 3 living in the rural part of Pune city, my husband works as a software engineer in NIT farm and my 4 year old son goes to Nursery School situated locally. We together went to holy trip of Ma Vaishnodevi in the month of March 2019 we all were very happy only to realise upon return that due to some bad food my husband in mid April 2019 fell ill and suffered from high fever for which the local private practitioner ( local doctor) diagnosed it as normal viral fever and gave certain medication that contained Paracetamol in it and advised him to continue the dosage for a duration of 4 days Upon completion of the duration of four days the fever did not subside and stayed on post that he was advised and instructed to |do a dengue test which came negative however his platelets had reduced for unknown reasons.
Then doctor with little experience did not do further diagnosis and started treating my husband for improving his platelet count and he was admitted at his Hospital for getting the further treatment
This treatment included many unnecessary and un-required medicines that impacted the healthy areas of the body and deteriorated his Liver for more than 15 days. Once the liver was damaged the toxins in the body increased resulting in to Kidneys functional failure and simultaneously the brain stopped responding normally and send my husband into coma stage 2 after which I was forced to rush him to Jahangir Hospital in Pune city where he was and is still being treated from last 30 days in the ICU
The doctors tried to the fullest to survive my husband by using multiple ways of modern medical equipment's available with them for treating him
The cost of treating him and bringing him back from the coma stage 2 was very expensive and cost me on an average approximately one Lakh rupees per day the first fifteen days of the treatment, during this treatment time he was incubated support was provided through the use of ventilator, another supportive machines namely like the CRRT used for dialysis.
Due to the prayers of all family and friends and efforts of the doctors and all the hospital staff my husband has come back to consciousness and is on the recovery mode I have already spent all of my savings and the amounts shared by my family members and relatives I've also used my gold available with me for putting in the extra money required however I am still falling short of the money required for his survival treatment that is estimated to the amount of rupees 27,00,000/-
During this course of treatment he will be undergoing multiple sessions of dialysis and other liver supportive treatment.The current ICU charges per day & treatment is between rupees 40,000/- to 60,000/- per day. it is essential that treatment should be carried on over here under the care of especial doctor who have survived him from coma.
