Hello, my name is Aryan Gopalakrishnan. I am a 11th grade student at the American Embassy School and I am a concerned Delhiite. Every winter we dread the deterioration of air quality but there is little we actually do about it. The newspapers release startling statistics about agrarian pollution but we never ask ourselves what WE can do about it.
This winter I started my own social initiative to understand the nuances of agrarian pollution and why alternatives to stubble burning are not easily adopted. I seek to tackle air pollution at one of its most stubborn roots: stubble burning. Blame for poor air is often placed at the door of farmers who engage in this practice, when in reality they have few other options given their financial situation.
I am asking for your kind donations to help me collaborate with an NGO that works to educate farmers on the issues related to stubble burning as well as help them provide farmers with the correct technology to remove stubble.
So, are you with me?
