At the outset, our introduction. We are ArtLune – an online gallery and an artist collective. Back in early 2019, we started simply as an online portal, where we featured the very best of young contemporary art from across India. Whilst we were always driven by a strong conviction, we were overwhelmed with the amazing response that we got from our patrons.
Subsequently we started hosting physical events around visual art – be it, workshops, art exhibitions, or curated conversations, we tried our very best to make art as much as accessible as possible.
Today, we have an envious record of having hosted several meaningful art events in some of the best venues across India, collaborated with some of the most promising young talent from the country and having developed a curatorial voice that is both relevant and impactful. Our project, Against the Grain, is an aggressive step towards the same direction.
‘Against the Grain’ is a transformative environmental project employing art and community engagement to address global shifts in climate patterns and ecological challenges.
Through a series of engaging events, the project delves into the urgent need for sustainability. From international perspectives to the intricacies of India, it visualizes the impact of daily actions on a broader scale. The narrative extends beyond problems, highlighting solutions crafted by architects, designers, artists, and policymakers.

Central to the engagement is the recognition that small, everyday actions collectively shape a sustainable future, urging participants to become proactive stewards of the environment.
The project has several components
- We are working with a whole host of schools and educational providers to engage school children.
- There are several NGOs with whom we are collaborating to create ground level changes.
- Some of the best artists/architects/designers from across the globe are a part of our project, who would be exhibiting their works in prestigious events such as India Habitat Center and Alliance Française in Delhi.
