Help Poor Families to Make Their Diwali Happier
By Giving Them “Packet of Joy”
“Brother-O-Brother…..!! Please Help…..give us some food or money for celebrating Diwali. My Children & infants are hungry from a long time. My husband met with a brutal accident when he was selling vegetables on his Rikshaw and he has multiple fractures. He can’t go anywhere, and we don’t have enough money to provide him proper medication. I have nothing to eat and feed my children. We are very poor to buy any thing.”
Last Year, during Diwali season, I had gone to market to buy some stuff for upcoming festival. Suddenly, I felt that someone was touching my feet continuously. I saw a very poor & weak lady with her four children and an infant in her lap, was touching my feet. She was not looking like a alms-woman. Rather that, decent lady was trying to make an initiative for celebrating a nice Diwali for her children in a very low pitch voice. This was the voice that agitated from my inner soul, and this very poor family inspired me to celebrate the festival of light and cheerfulness with all those families which are unable to celebrate Diwali in basic proper manner. Most of the poor and underprivileged family don’t have basic meal to eat.
I bought some cloths, blanket, sweets, wheat flour, rice, oil, Sugar, salt, pulses, fruits and other household stuffs and reached that slum area and donated all these items near about 200 poor families and also to that poor lady who motivated me to do this good deed. We all can be part of this great cause. And after seeing the Happiness of those impoverished families , after receiving this Rashan Packet, we named it:-“Packet Of Joy”.
On this Diwali, we are determined to donate over 1000 families the Diwali Rashan, cloths and sweet packets, who can’t buy enough goods to celebrates the festival of lights and joy. We are trying to make them smile and their home lighten by our tiny effort. This year, we want to make Diwali more memorable & sparkling to underprivileged and necessitous families by donating this “Packet Of Joy”.
May be this act is very small in this huge society, but we all together try to help with full determination & honesty for someone’s little happiness & smile on a sad face.
We can help the needy poor families through the “Packet Of Joy”. The Price of each “Packet Of Joy” would be approximately Rs. 1000/- per packet.
This will contain:-
Wheat Flour:- 10Kgs.
Rice:- 05 Kgs.
Cooking(Edible) Oil:- 01 Liter
Sugar:- 2Kgs.
Salt:- 01 Packet
Basic Spices
Suji:- 01Kg.
Daal (Pulses):- 01 Kg.
Sweets:- 01 Kgs.
Let’s share this joy and happiness by contributing a little amount of Rs. 1000/- on this Diwali a meaningful one.
