Greetings! I'm Amala Nayagi, the Managing trustee of Annai Charitable and Educational Trust also the principal of St. Joseph Matriculation School which is run by the Trust.
The Trust was established in 2004 to Empower rural children through holistic education and Empower underprivileged women. The school and the Trust are located in a Village of Pudukkottai District, Tamil Nadu, India.
From Kindergarten to Grade 10, 420 students are learning through holistic education. Among them, 88 children from Sri Lankan refugees, Orphans, and Semi Orphans are provided free education by our NGO. Every year the school received awards for outstanding performance with 100% results in SSLC Examinations. Give India Foundation supporting us in three projects in which economically backward children, Sri Lankan refugee women, and underprivileged women are benefitted by our NGO.
Due to the Pandemic, the school is closed and our regular donors are unable to donate. Our school is closed due to Pandemic but we have never stopped teaching. Our Children are learning through online where our teachers are teaching regularly.Our teacher's families and students' families are in crisis due to lockdown.
The Trust members mortgaged their properties to meet the expenses but still, we are in need of Indian Rupees Ten Lakhs (INR 10,00,000) or Thirteen Thousand Six Hundred U.S Dollars (13600 USD). The funds will be utilized to pay the tuition fees of 88 children.
To wipe out the tears, Annai Charitable and Educational Trust resolved to conduct a campaign to raise funds to meet the expenses for the Children's education and for the lives of Teachers' families. I humbly request you to donate. My hearty thanks in Advance.
