    This fundraiser will benefit

    Ankit Saini

    from New Delhi, Delhi

My name is Mulki Raj (60 yrs old) and I am here to raise funds for my son Ankit Saini. He is 21 years old and currently is  in Delhi. He has always been a very lively kid. He is a hardworking and honest person who has always been respectful towards others.

Unfortunately, 3 years ago, he met with an accident at work (in UP), which resulted in a serious spinal injury. We immediately rushed him to Delhi for treatment at the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre. He was diagnosed with Traumatic Fracture Dislocation D12-L1 with AIS-A neurology. The treatment cost us about Rs. 10 lacs. The next part of the treatment is for loss of bladder and bowel control and loss of sensation of both lower limbs.

I have always placed a very high emphasis on self reliability. In order to earn and save up money for his treatment, over the past 3 years, my daughter has taught Yoga classes day and night, catering to people from different time zones, sacrificing her own sleep and aspirations. We have invested all our savings into his treatment. However, due to Covid-19, we had to cancel our group classes. We soon came to the bitter realization that our savings will still not be sufficient for the next round of treatments. I am trying to be a strong father but it breaks our heart to see that we are running out of funds just when he has started showing some improvement.

I recently came to know about Milaap and decided to raise this campaign for my son. Since the past 3 years, there are around 80 receipts. We have attached the major ones alongside. The treatment is ongoing and we continue to receive a hefty bill each month. We will keep uploading those receipts too. According to the doctors, the entire treatment is expected to cost us around Rs. 20 lacs. However, we will start by raising Rs. 10 lacs. As I said earlier, self reliance is important for us. So, if we can provide you with 1:1 Yoga classes with my nephew or daughter, we will be more than happy to do so. Kindly reach out to me using the message section. I am fully aware that we have a long way to go and this is, by no means, a small amount to raise. However, no contribution is little and it's your thought that matters. Please do contribute how much ever you can.
