Hi All,
There is an update regarding the treatment.
With a weary heart I would like to inform you all that good days aren't yet back for us as of now. Looks like we are in never ending loop of disappointments.
My mother had to be again admitted back to the hospital(i.e. on 5 July 2021). Problem started after 3 days of discharge, there was a reduction in her desire to eat something and eventually whatever she eats she vomits it. We have to make few rounds of emergency and OPD visits but no antiemetics was working. We are helpless at home because she isn't eating anything so doctor advised for hospital treatment. KFT, LFT, Endoscopy and CT scan are done, results of which are nothing to worry but doctors are not yet sure what is the exact issue. Antifungal treatment is stopped for now because posaconazole is looking one of the prime suspect so they are thinking of switching it to cresemba tablets.
We are in a state of wait and watch and need your blessings and prayers.

There are few more disheartening updates regarding treatment ...
My mother treatment went on for 24 days, she got discharged on 10-June-2021 in stable condition "according to doctor" but again after 2 days of discharge she started complaining of headache and severe pain in sinusitis area. She is again taken to hospital on 14-June-2021 for endoscopy and tissue specimen test(attached).The very next day doctor informed your mother need to be administered 40 more amphotericin injection. So the circle starts again and we had to got her admitted back on 16-June-2021 in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
The hospital on previous discharge had prepared a bill of 8,13,144 rupees which doesn't include the injections we procured from outside costing around 2,50,000.The hospital has again provided an estimate of 3 lakh excluding doctor visits, regular renal function and radiological flow up tests. Now i don't know how we will manage this, this is where you all can help. All our savings had already exhausted in the previous treatment of COVID-19 and Post COVID Pneumonia. I request you all please share this campaign with your friend, family and colleagues so that it will garner maximum support.
My family is learning everyday to be stronger than before. You all can be our pillars of support.

I need your help in raising funds for my mother, Anita Devi's, medical treatment for Black Fungus (Mucormycosis).
My mother tested positive for COVID-19 on 18-Apr-2021. Over next five days her condition deteriorated significantly and she had to be admitted in Divya Prastha Hospital, Palam in emergency condition and put on oxygen support. She was administered with Remdesivir injection which we arranged at very high prices due to its unavailability. Her treatment went on for 10 days and was discharged on 4-May-2021 but on very next day she had to be again admitted to another hospital due to chest discomfort and headache where she was treated for post covid pneumonia for another 11 days. But it does not stops here after 2 days of discharge i.e. on 18-May-2021 she is diagnosed with Black Fungus(Mucormycosis) and rushed to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Karol Bagh, for her operation on 19-May-2021. She had undergone 2 major and 1 minor surgery and is currently being treated for black fungus and post-covid care.
The hospital had prescribed atleast 75 vials of anti-fungal medicine, Amphotericin B. A vial of this medicine costs anywhere between 6000-8000 rupees and sometimes even more, based on its availability. Along with this main line treatment, supporting medicines like posaconazole and cresemba(isavuconazole) are very expensive. This is in addition to doctor fee, bed and medical equipment costs being charged by the hospital for each day she stays there.
The last seven weeks have proven to be a nightmare for out family. Its been heartbreaking to see my mother in pain. We, now, find ourselves in a position where we cannot maintain this continuity anymore. Her current treatment cost is sky rocketing and now we are facing an acute cash crunch amidst scarce resources. This is where I extend my hands for help from you.
Please, Help me bring my mother back home healthy.

I realise, at the end or beginning of the day, all we need to survive is a little more love than the previous day. Thankyou all for continuously supporting this campaign.
Today I may not be in a position to handle all this but I have a faith that some day whatever will the contribution be, will be redistributed back to society for the similar cause. Its heart breaking to see people loosing their loved ones. Time is testing us but we will come out stronger.
