We know Aniruddha Mukherjee (son of Ram Chandra Mukherjee) from Don Bosco school, Park Circus, Kolkata as a student of this school since he was in the Primary Section. His lower limbs are completely paralysed and he is wheelchair bound. He is 18 years old (d.o.b 8.10. 2000) and currently pursuing his education under the NIOS board from The Assembly of God Church school, Kolkata. We are a witness to the hardships that Aniruddha has to undergo on a daily basis because of his handicap.Aniruddha had to undergo a major 16 hour long spine surgery to remove some degree of congenital disorder by having metal plates fixed, in March 2010. His first surgery (Meningomyocoele) had been carried out when he was only 9 months old.Aniruddha suffers from urinary incontinence and has to remain in diapers always. He has to take laxatives every two days to clear his bowels. He is currently suffering from Bilateral Hydrocoele (N43.3) and needs treatment.He belongs to a middle class family and his parents are in dire straits trying to meet his expenses for physiotherapy and medicines. Inspite of his handicap, Aniruddha is very keen to continue with his education and has appeared for his class ten finals in April this year.A few of our friends and we have been helping Aniruddha for the past couple of years and are worried about his future. It would be of immense help to Aniruddha if he could receive sponsorship of atleast 20,000 a month to cover the cost needed for his education and medical expenses.
