A FEW WORDS…
“Don’t make Trees rare, keep them with care.”
This is one of the main concerns of our organisation “SAVE TREE & SAVE LIFE”. And this concern is fuelled by our THREE-STEP-DRIVE from ‘MINIMIZING CUTTING TREE’ to ‘MAXIMIZING SAVING TREES’ and finally to ‘MAXIMIZING PLANTING AND NOURISHING TREES’, as we do believe in:
“If you cut a tree, you kill a life.
If you save a tree, you save a life.
If you plant a tree, you plant a life.
We care most to keep our words in terms of practices. And this is why even after AMPHAN, a super cyclonic tropical storm, in Eastern India, specifically in Sunderban delta region of West Bengal and also in Bangladesh in May 2020 which caused a powerful, deadly and widespread damage of forest area, our immediate objective is to replenish the very damage by tree sapling plantation through the southern districts of West Bengal in the name of SOCIAL FORESTRY.
OUR YESTERDAYS…
“Think of the long haul, don’t let the trees fall!”
We are pleased to inform you that our organization has already started doing this, though not at the large scale level right now. Still we hope for the very best, keeping in mind our earlier days when we primarily started our project at many places of Howrah, Hooghly in general, and specifically in Sunderban areas with the support of many NGOs & Clubs by collecting plant saplings from various places where they are without care and then by replanting them in controlled environmental condition in our self-made nursery. After the trees grew up to some extent we planted them in some bare island to be taken care by our volunteers as we promote:
“Plant a tree, grow a flower, Let’s give mother earth to give them back her power.”
OUR PLANS AHEAD…
“Planting a tree is much better than wearing a mask to be safe from pollution.”
Besides, we have plans –
to collect seeds of different plants and make them grown at the same places and then plant them finally
direct seed dispersal or seed ball dispersal to bare island
caring those plants to develop by soil preparation, bamboo and net fencing and application of fungicide etc.
AN APPEAL…
All these require fund @Rs. 20/- for each sapling/plant’s development. Now in this context we are to request cordially to our beloved nature-lover societies to donate expenditure for at least one plant to our planned social forestry for making green world. We will give e-Acknowledgement certificate and e-certificate as token honorarium. So please be a part of our green mission as growing human populations and inefficient agriculture practices have led to an extreme loss of tree cover and the soil is no longer sufficiently replenished. The soil no longer absorbs water efficiently and suffers erosion instead.
SO, INSURED OUR LIFE AND TREE…
“Plant a tree, plant a tree so that next generation can get air for free.”
This is our insurance and investment plan as the common human being breathes the amount of oxygen in a day which is sufficient to fill the 3 oxygen cylinders. And if 1 oxygen cylinder’s cost is 700/- rupee ($10), a common human consumes the oxygen of Rs. 2100/- ($30) per day. And in the year, it’s Rs. 7,66,500/- and in the lifespan of 65 years, a person consumes the oxygen of more than 5 crores. But we get the oxygen of crores in free of costs from trees, still we cut them. So, think about it with us.
“If the present generation cuts down trees,
their children will have to pay the fees.”
