Aman Verma, a National gold Medalist in Climbing from Jharkhand, has overcome tremendous odds to reach the top of Indian climbing. Coming from a small town with limited access to world-class training and sponsorships, Aman has made it to the Asian Climbing Championships in Hong Kong—yet financial constraints threaten to hold him back.
When I first trained in Jamshedpur, I was uncertain and alone. Aman not only took me under his wing, but he also pushed me beyond my limits, helping me achieve my dream of reaching the national podium. His selflessness, leadership, and dedication are what truly set him apart. Aman isn't just a phenomenal climber; he’s a team player who lifts others with him. He stayed up late, setting challenging routes for me—routes that usually take five people 3 hours to set, but Aman did it alone. His tireless commitment inspired me deeply, and now I want to help him achieve his dream of representing India on the global stage. -- Kabir
Aman has crossed the age of 18 and is no longer funded by his previous sponsors. But these financial struggles are not enough to stop him from outworking everyone and becoming the national champion held this year in Bangalore in January. His optimism and hope that things will sort themselves out is enough to keep his hunger alive. But now we are close to the deadline and Aman has not managed to secure the funds to travel. He needs to gather INR 85,000 (Eighty five thousand ) to make his round trip and the deadline for registration is 27th Feb.
