COEP continues to attract some of the most talented students across different strata of the society. We have students coming from both rural and urban Maharashtra. Life and education in Pune is still unaffordable for many of them! There are students who have to miss a meal (and perhaps end up eating Vada Pav) as they don’t have enough money for both meals. With the pandemic, the need for laptops has only increased the financial burden on many families.

We, as alumni of COEP, need to support this community of extremely talented and deserving students. We are forming the COEP Student Support Club to facilitate this channel of help from Alumni to deserving students.

1. To put things in perspective
   1. 1 student’s annual food expense ~INR 36,000 (~USD 480)
   2. 1 laptop is ~ INR 50,000 (~USD 670)
   3. 1 student’s annual fee is ~ INR 90,600 (~USD 1209)
   4. 1 student's annual hostel expense ~INR 32000 (~USD 427)
2. And we won’t stop at the above! We will fund deserving research projects and research ideas of students as well. 
3. You can pay any amount for all of the above or a portion of it! No contribution is a small contribution. All contributions are eligible for a 80G certificate. 
4. This club will be directly managed by the Alumni Association to ensure that all funds are provided only to the deserving or needy! 
5. As they say, Nobody has ever gotten poor by giving! Please donate generously.
