Dear All,
My 11 year old brother, Aldrin A Michael, is fighting for his life due to Acute Lymphatic Leukemia, a type of blood cancer.The cancer has affected his bone marrow and could spread to liver, kidneys, brain and other organs.
Another side effect of this disease is that his immunity has decreased to an extent due to which he gets infections frequently and we need highly expensive antibiotics to control the infections.
He is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Even though the chemotherapy medicines are available for free from RCC, all the blood tests and antibiotics are to be purchased from outside and they are very costly.
My father is no more,we don't own house or any property to sell and raise funds. I am a receptionist and the only income earner for the family of 4 and my salary is not enough to support my brother's treatment. In fact I cannot even provide a good rented place for him to stay without getting infections.
The treatment is advised for 2&1/2 years .
Above all this,he is diagnosed with a heart problem, due to which chances to complete the required chemos are less. In that case, doctors are suggesting a bone marrow transplant, for which the cost is 35 lakhs.
I don't have the means to provide all this treatment to my brother,for which reason I have decided to use crowdfunding.
It's my humble request to everyone to do what you can and help bring back my brother to life.Every single penny counts.
