    Ajay Stephen

For decades, Mrs. Elizabeth stood at the front of a classroom, shaping young minds and filling children with hope for the future. Today, at 66, the teacher who once inspired hundreds of students finds herself facing the darkest chapter of her own life, desperately praying for a miracle. Her life partner, Mr. Stephen, was her pillar of strength. A kind and hardworking man, he was the heart of their home. But fate dealt them a cruel hand two years ago when a severe medical event left him completely paralyzed. Since then, he has been confined to their bed, unable to move, speak, or perform the simplest daily tasks without assistance.Elizabeth’s retirement savings were quickly swallowed by emergency surgeries, heavy ICU bills, and the initial costs of setting up a makeshift care unit at home. On paper, they have a house. But that home is burdened by a heavy bank loan. Every month, a looming EMI threatens to take away the very roof over their heads.Elizabeth’s pension is a fraction of what it used to be. To survive, she has taken up part time teaching in a school, despite her own failing health and aching joints. Every single rupee she earns is stretched to the absolute limit:
  • Rs. 5 lacs will go towards Mr. Stephen's knee and hip surgery, physiotherapy and medical expenses.
  • Rs. 14 lacs will go towards the bank home loan EMI.
  • Rs. 1 lac will cover basic utilities and emergency medicines.

"My husband spent his entire life taking care of others, and now he is completely dependent on me," Elizabeth says, tears welling in her eyes. "I am growing weaker by the day. My body cannot keep up with the physical toll of caregiving and working multiple jobs. The constant fear of defaulting on our home loan and not being able to afford his next day's medicines keeps me awake all night. I am failing him, and I don't know where else to turn."Elizabeth is exhausted, physically and financially. She is running a race against time, desperately trying to save the home they built together and keep her husband comfortable in his condition. She needs your support to clear her outstanding home loan and secure her husband’s medical and physical therapy expenses for the coming months. No one who has spent their life serving society should be left to fight a battle of survival alone in their twilight years. Your contribution—no matter how big or small—will give this dedicated teacher the financial relief she so desperately needs, and grant Mr. Stephen the dignified care he deserves. Please open your heart, donate generously, and share her story with your friends and family.
