Hello, we are writing to please request your donation for the treatment and continued care of our cousin brother and friend, Ajay Daniel. Ajay, the sole bread winner for his family, just turned 26 and lives in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He works as a private employee at an IT firm.
A few weeks ago Ajay was admitted with what at that time seemed like a massive brain tumor. His charts were also characterized with very low platelet counts and he was rushed into emergency surgery on the same to for a shot at survival. Against all odds, he made it through surgery but was later diagnosed with Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) (a phenomenon that causes low platelets) with a further complication of septicemia (poisoning of the blood). We have administered high degree antibiotics and two rounds of immunoglobulins to help treat these issues. He is currently admitted and receiving ICU Care at New Hope Medical Centre, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
As of 19th of May, we’ve spent close to Rs. 12,00,000 on his treatment while his insurance and personal savings have only covered Rs. 5,00,000 of said amount.
Before this, Ajay’s father was admitted in the hospital and was treated for covid with Ajay taking care of most of the necessities arising from it (including standing in line at KMC for 14 hours to get remdesivir). The day his father was brought home, Ajay was taken to the hospital and has been battling for his life ever since. Today, his mother who was caring for Ajay in the hospital, has also passed away due to causes that we are not yet aware of.
The family has seen immense loss and suffering in a span of weeks and is in need of compassion and generosity from any support you can give.
The future for Ajay is in precarious shape, with rising treatment costs and emotional pain. In the next 30 days, we will need at least Rs.15,00,000.00 more for further treatment and care.
We come to you with this sincere and earnest request to please donate to support the surviving father and younger brother in continuing treatment for Ajay. This is a very emotionally draining situation for the family and we please ask you to share your support and empathy by donating as much or as little as you can.
