We are a group of 5 young girls pursuing our graduation in fine arts, who are on a mission to protect the dying 'Aipan' art of the Kumaon region in Uttarakhand. We belong to very poor families of laborers who have been heavily affected by the ongoing pandemic, with no steady source of income.
We formed an Aipan Art Studio to help protect the art and also create a steady source of income for our families by selling the products from the studio.
With this thought in mind, we decided to open a small art studio but are now struggling to initiate it due to a lack of funds. I as well as my friends have invested all of our savings and are unable to invest further. We had considered applying for a loan but couldn't take it further.
We would like to request everyone to help us complete our dream and, in that way, support a group of young girls in creating a system of self-reliance for themselves as well for those joining us in the future.
We thank you for all your support until now and look forward to your continued support in our endeavor. Please do contribute to our campaign!
