This is my Birthday month and I have decided to use this month for something really needfull.
This fundraiser will help adivaasi content creators who are showcasing their lives, food and culture on the internet.
I'am donating to Adivaasi Lives matter, it is a pioneer and passionate organization helping indigenous people develop and strengthen their digital capacities to bring out adivaasi content creators.
Their initiative is #adivasiaawaz , through which tribal people create a voice in the mainstream media which is majorly dominated by non tribals and stereotypical content. During Covid, the lockdown was initiated and everything came to a halt. While all of us have been effected, stories from the deepest parts of India are still nowhere in the ,mainstream media.
With over 700 Scheduled Tribes in India who speak morethan 500 languages, the diversity of Adivasis is not
portrayed appropriately and enough- neither in the media or
news, nor in the world of art and literature.
