am Aditi. I run a tiny shelter in the outskirts of Mumbai.
We are located in Dombivli (outskirts of Mumbai). Being the only shelter in the vicinity, a lot of people contact us day and night requesting for help.

Being a single woman, running this shelter all alone does become overwhelming. But I always keep reminding myself that my pain & suffering can never be bigger than that of these innocent beings. I will always try to do the best I can.

Our actual shelter capacity is just 16 dogs and 4 pups at a time. We do not have a cattery. But still as of today we are running at a capacity of 65 plus animals that include sick, injured, paralysed, motherless, blind and abandoned cats & dogs. We also get alot community animals vaccinated and sterilized.

We are fully dependent on funds, supplies and food on our supporters, who have empowered me at every step to do better & more. Although we are always behind in payments, I have full faith in the power of law of attraction. I just keep doing what I can and the universe helps me back in the form of  donations from kind people.

We currently have 2 full time staff that lives at the shelter and 6 staff members that work all day. I have been lucky in finding some really hard working and passionate employees.

Our shelter expenses crosses 4 lakhs a month (minimum), sometimes more than that. We are far away from decent medical infrastructure, hence we end up traveling almost 500kms within a week for our vet visits. We do not compromise on quality of medical care or food.

There are many hurdles that keep coming our way. Most local vets are not compassionate towards strays. The local people are not very friendly towards animals, so a lot of times we also get cases animal cruelty. We are often harassed by our own neighbors and local people while we just try to help animals. However, we take things with a pinch of salt and move on with our struggles.

We want to grow bigger and do things better. We want to reach the unreached. We want to give stray animals better health care and focus on sterilization. We would also like to build a large shelter to rehabilitate the ones that cannot live without human support.

I am looking at connecting with people who wish support us in whatever ways they can. Donations in kind, direct donations to vets, food, by fostering or passively adopting our animals.

Please note we are not a registered organization yet and are in the process of being one.

Please connect with me via Whatsapp 8652114494 to know more.

Thanks
Aditi
