*About Abhishek:-*
A loving son to his parents, a caring brother to his sister, a helping friend, and a bright, passionate yet humble computer engineer - Abhishek was much more than these words can describe. He meant the world to his old parents, who raised their son with utmost love and care, and to his elder sister whom he deeply respected. His family was proud that the was on track to becoming a bright computer engineer and contributing to our society. He was a final year Computer Science student from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara. He was interning in Indore as a Software Developer Intern. He was full of life with a zest to learn about anything and everything. He used to write poetry (IG: @waking.thoughts) and was a photography enthusiast. Sadly, an unfortunate incident took this gem of a person away from all of us.
*About the Accident:-*
On one Sunday afternoon, Abhishek along with 8 of his friends went for a small trek to Gidiya Khoh, a waterfall near Indore. After a tiring trek, people entered the pond at the bottom of the waterfall. Like his young friends, Abhishek also entered the water for a few minutes. A sudden slip of the foot and turbulent water flow caused a disastrous incident that proved fatal to his life. His family arrived the next morning. The administration, the locals, and his friends began the search for his body. But they failed to find the body for the next 40 hours. Once the body was found, it was taken to Jaipur for final rituals after all the necessary documentation.
*About the Family:-*
Abhishek is survived by a low-income family of 4 members: his bed-ridden grandmother, his father, who works for a small construction company, his mother who is a homemaker, and an elder sister who is yet to get married. Abhishek’s parents had invested all their savings in the education of their children. So, when the pandemic hit and the construction sector started suffering, Abhishek’s father lost his job. To make ends meet, the family had to take loans at a very high-interest rate against their only house.
*Appeal:-*
Loan sharks are now behind the family trying to get their money back as soon as possible and Abhishek’s death has compounded the problems. His father is the only earning member now and his current or future income isn’t enough to pay off the debts. The family now is under additional pressure, as they try to cope with incessant grief and worry about loan sharks. Given the health conditions of the grandmother and Abhishek’s father, low income, and emotional state right now, it seems impossible for the family to manage everything on their own. Abhishek was seen as the only solution to all the family woes. There is no one in the family now who can take up those financial and emotional responsibilities. So, let us all join hands in our best possible capacity to help Abhishek and his family come out of this dreadful situation.
OM SHANTI!!
