I always felt that there is something that was missing in life. After completing my Engineering I have worked in the corporate sector for nearly 5 years, I was earning well and enjoyed all the comforts that an urban city had to offer, in short, my life was in a comfort zone where most of us are blinded to the reality by the privileges we enjoy.
Then when I came to know about the International Citizenship Service (ICS) a program that offered youth an opportunity to interact with diverse groups, live and learn about new cultures through volunteering while spending three months in the rural village of Rajasthan and contributing to impactful development projects that tackle important issues of the community. That opportunity has influenced me in a way that I have changed my career from being an employee in the corporate sector to become a social entrepreneur and have started working towards empowering individuals and communities. Those journeys have also helped me build my understanding of the different perspectives of development and the role of youth in it.
I'm currently working on the idea of making education more equitable, inclusive, and accessible. I have a dream of developing digital self-learning spaces where all students can flourish, where their passions are at the core. Though this idea is in its early stages, I'm confident that with the right support and guidance I could turn my dream into a reality that would in turn benefit the kids from marginalized communities.
I believe this training program will help me to refine my idea into reality. I would be very grateful if you could help me to raise funds for my expenses for this leadership training program or refer me to someone who would be just as interested in contributing to this project.
