Patna COVID-19 relief fund

Hi,

These are very uncertain times as many daily wagers have lost their jobs ever since we have been hit by Coronavirus. Our goal is to provide basic grocery and sanitary equipment such as masks and soaps to the overcrowded slums of Patna.

We went to distribute food materials to beggars and the homeless near the railway station. Got to know neither do they have a ration card or a bank account

They were very grateful that we came to help them because they didn't know whether the government gonna help them or not.

We decided to help them by gathering funds through this platform and use to buy them basic groceries.

We're currently targeting areas around Shaguna More and Patna Junction for now. Based on the response we will be proceeding to other places as well.

This is the great city that raised us and now its time to give something back

As you all know we started Patna COVID19 RELIEF FUND for the daily wagers and the homeless to provide them with food and hygiene supplies in this time crisis and you all came together and supported this cause, which made it possible for us to help those in need. We did our first drive on 27th March and the last drive on 25th April. In this 1 month we raised around 1,28,000 and fed around 1,800 people which includes, daily wagers, homeless, transgender community and housemaids, people who have no source of income due to the lockdown

Our small act of humanity nudged our contacts in different cities to follow the same community serving model, with the excess fund we were able to help them initially. We are mentioning our heroes who don't wear a crape but walk with the heart of a human.

In Gurgaon, Manish Yadav and Swapnil Raghuvanshi distributed 2 weeks of Rashan Supply to 70 daily wage workers with our little contribution of Rs. 15,000 from the fundraiser.

In Darbhanga, Avinash Singh distributed rashan supply to around 150 daily wagers.

In Vellore, Sivam Raj provided cooked food to around 1000 daily wagers and distributed rashan to 100.

In Patna, we got helped from Sharique Shaquille and Shubham Singh Pratihar who helped us with the distribution. Pratihar along with his friend distributed rashan Supply along with our food packages to around 150 daily wagers, in Kumharar and nearby areas while Sharique took care of Danapur.

We have contacted by a lot of woke citizens, who have extended their hand in these dark times, we heartily thank all of them for standing by our cause. As the Government plans to extend the Lockdown, we are sure we might be needing your support in the coming days.

Our small act of feeding our people should not be mistaken as a charity, we are people who believe in small walls and long dining table to make sure everyone is well-fed. This is not a mighty act, this is just a small act of humanity. We are simply repaying the debts that we owe to our community.
