Aamir is our good friend. Over the years, he had secured a good job at a reputed company and had proven how capable he was. Life was looking up, and his family couldn’t have been more proud of him. He has always been active, health-conscious and took good care of himself. But things took a turn last year, one day when he has abdominal pain and bleeding.

The next thing we know, he was diagnosed with Colon cancer(Carcinoma Colon – Rectosigmoid junction).

They diagnosed him with a tumor of 5cm in rectosigmoid junction along with suspect of few lymph nodes affected.  They decided to do a surgery. However, during the surgery, when they did an initial diagnosis through Laparoscopy in OT, they couldn’t proceed with the surgery and had to terminate it when they found that mutations were more and now it has spread

This has been devastating news for us, but we are all being hopeful in getting him the best treatment he needs, to recover.

There is a hope with a constant treatment to improve his condition and add more years to his life. Chemotherapy is in progress, after which surgery will follow. The estimation cost for the surgery is to be above 10 Lacs. As his condition is worse, he is eligible for Immunotherapy, which will cost at least 1.5-2 lakh per month and duration of Immunotherapy will depend on his condition.

With the initial diagnosis and treatment his family has exhausted their savings and his insurance limit of 5 lakhs has been exhausted too. Doctors are estimating a cost of another 15 lakhs for further treatment. Over all, the treatment cost may rise up to 20 lakhs.

Aamir lost his father when he was young and has a loving mother who is old and has no other source of income. They are helpless, and are not able to pay the huge expenses as they are from lower middle class. They have no one to depend on for financial assistance. We as friends, are helping him out as much as we can, but it is not enough.

His family has already been through hell and back. They don’t deserve to go through it again. You’re now the only hope they have. We will be very grateful if anyone can extend a hand to help our friend overcome this situation in the critical stage of his life.

Hence, this is a cry for HELP! Please HELP!
