My 23-year-old son is diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that mainly affects children and young adults. This type of cancer grows in bones and soft tissues and is difficult to diagnose early. The disease is so aggressive that, in my son, it has already spread to his lungs.

I struggle to believe that only a year ago, my son was healthy like any other 22-year-old. Today, he is bedridden and in pain.

He developed lower back and thigh pain last year. Medical experts correlated this condition to posture-related ailments owing to his long working hours and computer-based work.

The condition worsened over the last few months and limited his mobility. He quit his job with hopes to resume once the pain subsides.

But his health only deteriorated further with the loss of sensation on his right leg.

During this period, we consulted many doctors who ordered tests and scans, including a lumbar spine MRI. The doctors incorrectly diagnosed and treated it as sciatica.

When his condition turned miserable and the pain unbearable, a neurologist ordered a whole spine MRI. The scan resulted in the diagnosis of a tumour on his lower back. The tumour was compressing nerves that go to his right leg.

Further tests, CT scans, and biopsy revealed Ewing's Sarcoma in his right hemipelvis with multiple pulmonary metastases.

Now, he is bedridden and needs round-the-clock support.

The only child of middle-class parents, with his entire life ahead, he is still hopeful of his recovery and making a comeback. As his mother, I am as optimistic as he is to see him live his life and watch him achieve.

We need your support to fulfil our hopes.

I earnestly request you to contribute whatever you can and make a difference in our lives.

I am sharing with you his reports, treatment plan and the estimated cost.
