You’re a life-saver!
Let’s revitalize our responsibility towards humanity as we isolate ourselves. Along with an increasing need for stocking on necessities, we also face the challenge of stocking on blood. Patients in hospitals are awaiting blood donations to receive the healthcare they need.
At KHOON, we are committed to fighting this shortage of blood and being the medium between you and the patients. Over the period of Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 alone, we saved 30,000 lives across India and 10,000 lives in Bengaluru alone.
Over the past 4 years, we’ve impacted 1,00,000 lives across the country.
We also helped national and international patients at HCG Cancer Hospital round the clock during emergencies. Today, blood banks like Rashtrotthana have been able to increase their Voluntary Blood Donation through Digital Tools via KHOON.
Due to the lockdown, blood banks are unable to set up blood donation camps, which was the primary source (95%) of getting the blood required. India faces the burden of nearly 1,00,000 patients of B thalassemia and it ranks the 3rd highest country with patients of blood cancer. Patients are suffering as we desert the streets, and risk losing their lives through no fault of theirs.
We are here to ensure that it does not happen under our watch. However, we cannot do it without your support. We request you to come forward and donate blood or funds. All of your contributions will be used to:
Khoon was also recently felicitated by the Karnataka State Health & Family Welfare Department for exemplary work in the field of Blood Donation.
How we count each rupee towards our goal:
Rs. 6,00,000 for donations in the time of COVID-19:
As the world faces a crisis, blood donation organisations around the world are struggling to rally donors. While COVID-19 patients do not require blood, there are lakhs of patients (blood cancer, B thalassemia, and pregnant women, among others) whose lives are endangered with the scarcity of blood. To tackle this problem in India, we require your aid for:
1. Providing blood to patients at no cost
2. Transporting willing donors at our expense
3. Providing medical aid to patients
4. Promoting our cause in this difficult time
Rs. 1,50,000 to answer every call each time:
To channelize all donation requests at a single place, we have started a toll-free number, for which we are deeply indebted to Reliance Jio. To ensure that every blood donation request, donor registration, or emergency request is duly attended, we need your help to keep the number functioning round the clock.
Rs. 3,00,000 for Khoon’s Admin & Operational expenses:
Support us to keep our operations afloat.
Rs. 4,50,000 for designing the future of blood donation:
Today, the Internet is not only connecting people seas apart, but also two blocks apart. Envisioning the possibilities blood donation can achieve with this technology, Khoon will use an interface as fundamental as a browser, a network of laboratories, a user base of donors, and give you a revolution in blood donation. A hassle-free registration will connect a sea of donors and recipients with nothing but a browser notification in the time of need. More walk-ins than camps, ensured with the ease of connectivity. You will have an active user base without needing any application - a first of its kind in the world. Not only this, with a secure database, Khoon will value protecting user privacy as much as saving lives. With this, Khoon will bring you a transparent, efficient, automated, progressive, and game changing method.
