Dear Friends,
I am Preeti Srinivas, helping Ms. Lakshmi Swaminathan to build a stray animal rescue center and shelter with a capacity of 500+ dogs.
Mylos rescue currently houses 120 dogs which are old, sick , paralysed, blind and abandoned by owners and breeder discards. We get around 4 to 5 rescue calls per day, however we are able to handle only one or two due to the lack of funds and space constraints.
To overcome this we are constructing an environtmentally sustainable shelter which can house more than 500 rescues. We also are in need of continuous supply of rice, chicken and medicine for the dogs. Our operation is sustaining successfully due to the help given by 6 trained staff who dedicately work for the animals.

Mylos Shelter is being constructed as an environmentally & financially sustainable space for our animal rescues who need a safe and peaceful environment after a tormented life.
Our shelter is spread over an area of 7000 square feet , in a serene and silent space in the interiors of Mylasandra - off NICE Road in Bangalore. It is a part of four-pronged model adopted by Mylos Rescue to achieve its vision of ending stray animal suffering in Bangalore.
Our facilities include separate isolation for dogs with contagious diseases, veterinary clinic and a pet grooming center supported with a full-fledged community kitchen to serve 1000s of dogs starving in hunger.
We started building this shelter just before covid with enough funds. However during lockdown all the funds were spent in feeding 1000 plus stray dogs each day of the lockdown.
Now we are restarting the construction and we intend to complete in the next 2 months-
