We live in a society where menstruation is still considered a topic of shame. From a baseline survey done by Citizens Association for Child Rights (CACR), it was noted that 28% of 3889 girls from 46 Municipal schools in Mumbai skipped school on the days of their menses. In the face of this, it becomes important to educate girls on the topic of menstruation.
Our Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Program was initiated under the Swachh Bharat Mission as set by the Government of India. With the assistance of our development partner UNICEF, we curated a module through which we educate girls on the topics of:
We have reached 46,000 adolescent girls and women till date and with the aid of this fundraiser, we hope to 2,000 more girls in the immediate future.
By donating ₹1,500/- you can provide 1 girl with training sessions on safe menstrual hygiene practices and a dignity kit.
