Story

Shaurya Foundation works with a vision to enable economic development and independent living of persons with disabilities

To provide economic benefits to our students and their immediate family, Shaurya Foundation is looking to install a stitching unit at its Palwal facility. We are looking to make the following products:
  • Saree bags
  • Cotton bags for grocery
  • Cotton bags for day to day household activities
The facility shall be used by:

  • Mothers of disabled children - this will ensure that they can afford the tuition fees  and also can contribute to their family income to run their household
  • The disabled children as a training centre, imparting them training and making them independent and ready for employment/ self employment.

We are collaborating with Singer (organisation) which will provide us with discounted unit and have identified 2 supervisors who shall be acting as trainers to the project.

In addition to the training and usage of the premises, this the Foundation will contribute in helping the beneficiaries sell the produce in the market through both online and offline route.

Breakdown of usage

The amount required would principally be used for purchasing the stitching unit set for Rs. 5 Lakhs and Rs. 1 Lakh (approx.) shall be used for 2 months working capital i.e. purchase of cloth and marketing expenses
