Kerala never witnessed such destruction due to flood, any help for relief and rehabilitation is welcomed. But even in such disaster, ugly face of untouchability rises and Scheduled Castes are discriminated during relief, as reported by India Today on July 24th, 2018. It happened earlier in Gujarat Earthquake; even Tsunami could not washed away caste.

Manuski is making this appeal to support social activists and local partners in Kerala, in the midst of devastation. Local Partners like Abhayaloka Trust, Lokkutara and RIGHTS started relief activities and able to reach out most needy and marginalised. Many items such as food, clothing and medicines are required in relief camps now but in near time, once water recedes and people start moving to their own houses, specific things will be essential to restart life other than food & medicine. Few items which can be mentioned, such as Buckets, kitchen utensils, medicine, bleaching powder, materials restore damaged electric wiring, water tanks to store water, etc.
