Story

In 2014 Eng. Arpit Yadav shifted to lucknow for pursuing M.tech in Environmental Engineering. For thesis work he opted the topic “Effective Management of Slaughterhouse Waste”. At that time he had no idea that founding and managing Jack’s Wish was his destiny. After visiting slaughterhouse for his project work, change in his consciousness took place. The hue and cry of animals all over gave the purpose of living to him.He decided to provide compassion and care to all the animals who are in need and starving to death due to ineffective or no treatment at all. With the help of his friend Pratyush Pratap Singh who was also resonating the same chord of love towards animals, he started satisfying the voice of soul which is generally not heard by taking the injured dogs, cats and calves to the nearby Government Veterinary Hospital.Even they waited for hours and hours for the doctor to get free from their work and may look after the injured stray animal brought by them. But they soon learned that the focus of hospital is almost exclusively on dairy cows and pets. They had and have, no facility or desire to treat or rescue un-owned animals. Seeing the unforgettable overwhelming heart rending sight of an injured animal every time, they decided to have their own doctor and medicinal facilities. For now they are operating with a team of 80 volunteers. Behind name Jack’s wish there is also a story. Arpit owned a German shepherd dog named Jack which was everything to him .Unfortunately Jack died after consuming a poisonous lizard .So He decided to pay homage to his most lovable friend as Jack’s Wish which is a acronym for “Justice to Animals with Care & करुणा “
