Help Kalpana, Mom Of 5 Year Old Son, Fight Cancer

Kalpana Nigam is a 39 year old, lovely, beautiful, strong and loveable mother of a 5 year old son. She has always been the toughest and strongest of all in the family and that’s maybe why God decided to test her with the toughest test of survival – Breast Cancer Stage 4. She was diagnosed with this deadly disease in December 2016.
The doctors at Max Super Specialty Hospital in Delhi gave us a treatment plan that comprised of 15 radiation sittings followed by chemo therapy sessions. Though it was devastating, she accepted the challenge and started with the radiation therapy with complete dedication. However, after the 4th radiation on 30th Dec. 2016, she collapsed and was admitted in the ICU on 2nd Jan, 2017. Not only did her personal struggle become longer and harder with more complications like lungs infection and disturbed cardiac activity, her stay in ICU for the past 15 days also started draining the funds that the family had arranged for the original treatment plan.
Salaried middle class family with limited medical insurance coverage get a bitter learning when such life critical incidents happen to our near and dear ones. It has been more than 2 months and lump sum 10 lakhs have been spent in diagnostics, treatment and stay in ICU.  After all a middle class family does not have infinite source of income.
The family tried to move her to a place where we could get more affordable treatment but most of the top doctors from multi-specialty hospitals such as AIIMS, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Fortis Hospital, Tata Memorial Hospital, and Medanta agree that MAX can best provide the infrastructure and skill required to help save her life, at this point.
The doctors are giving a favorable chance of her coming out of the ICU in the next 1-2 days. Like a true warrior, she is fighting it out every second with the hope that she will bring up her son and give him a great life ahead. The doctors are amazed to see her recovery on her vitals better than they had expected. But they also know that her treatment and recovery is going to be slow and she needs to spend the next 15-20 days in the hospital. After that she needs to be setup at home with Max Home Care Team. This is going to cost an additional estimated 12 lakhs.
Though her entire family is there, supporting her emotionally and financially, we request you to open your hearts and help replenish the fast depleting funds for her treatment and become her tower of strength for the sake of her 5 year old son who is waiting for the family to reunite at home!!!!
Please share with your friends and family.
Thank you in advance!
