Save 2-Year-Old Baby Ganyasri From Cancer

Baby Ganyasri is 2-year-old from Udumalaipet, Tirupur district in Tamil Nadu. She has been diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia. The only cure for which is stem cell transplantation.

Aplastic anemia is malignant cancer  in which the bone marrow and the hematopoietic stem cells that reside there are damaged. This causes a deficiency of all three blood cell types red blood cells (anemia), white blood cells (leukopenia), and platelets (thrombocytopenia). Aplastic refers to inability of the stem cells to generate mature blood cells.

Her father is very poor and has already spent  2-3 lakhs on treatment and medicines. His monthly income is not more than 9000 INR. A stem cell transplant requires 10 lakhs and there is no way her family can arrange for the same. Parents, Vinodh (+91-9080130398) and Jayashri have been working hard but with their meagre wages they can barely afford food and shelter for the family.

6th June 2017
Dear Supporters,

I share this update with a heavy heart. Ganyasri underwent 2nd stem and neuro cell transfusion. However, there was no improvement in her WBC count. The count furthered dropped drastically yesterday and she could not fight the mighty disease.

Our little Ganyasri passed away. We hope she is in a better place now. Cancer free and away from all the pain. Please keep her and her family in your prayers!

May she rest in peace! #RIPBabyGanyasri
