I hope you find this mail with warm greetings and in good health.
For some, this mail may come as a bit of surprise and for some, as bit of shock, but I still really urge you to read through this long mail, with ease.
[Thank you already for continuing to read! :)]
I just wanted to talk to you about AJIT, a Post graduate student from Pondicherry University , The reason I am bringing you this story is because I think I need your help, to aid Ajit better in providing for his Surgery.
I have known Ajit for almost 3 years now and through that time I have seen him grow into a very responsible and mature adult. His entire education was free of cost by serving to the Society. His livelihood was giving tutions .Recently Ajit has been suffering from DCM(Dialated cardiomyopathy)Heart enlargement problem. While Ajit and his family have been strong throughout this phase of his life and managed somehow, to pursue education, there was lingering doubt that grew inside me.
In my conversations with Ajit, I constantly felt there was financial struggle, His father works as a supervisor in dairy company in Haryana. His mother died when he was 15 years old and then within 6 months of mother's death his elder sister died. Recently his elder brother died. Because of all these he faced shock and he was in severe stress and depression which increased his diseased state. He needs to be operated immediately for his survival. He was admitted in Indraprastha Apollo Hospital Delhi as his heart functioning was below 20% and is in critical state even now. Right now he is in ICU treatment and his per day cost is approx 70,000.Doctors are trying best to stabilise his body and once it is done surgery will be processed.
Looking at the decisions that Ajit took in his life for the pursue of education has shook my belief into something I believed once: that to help someone, you have to become someone first. Today, as I type this mail out I really don't care of who or what I am, but I know that I will help Ajit in every possible manner, I can! And I found just the quote to inspire me: Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has" -Margaret Mead.
So if anyone of you is interested in doing some "Help", which I might never speak of, never dedicate a Facebook post or blog about but still "we" could "change the world" for Ajit, then please do reply and I will be able to give you more clarity and proper details, if interested. The last date 25th january, 2018. I know that its kind of a short time, but I have seen miracles happen in the social sector quite often, I believe in them, realistically now more than ever!
Very grateful of you guys reading through this! Thanks a lot! Means a lot to me!
Thanks & Regards,
