Empower with education- Sashaktikaran

2. The state records lowest female literacy rate.
3.As per ASER Report 2016, only 11% children in government schools can do basic subtraction which is the third lowest.
Some Roadblocks:
1.Lack of access to education.
2.Low parental investment.
3.Lack of support for the teachers.
4.Lack of motivation among teachers about the future of children.
There is a vicious circle of poor quality of education leading to conservative mindsets and vice versa, which is stopping youth in Rajasthan to reach their true potential.
Our Belief:
We aim to achieve this by providing excellent education to the future of Rajasthan.
Our Solution:

We want to create schools into learning system where everyone is collectively committed towards a collective vision and constantly learning to improve themselves for the best of children studying in school.
Project 2017
We have started our first pilot with one of the low income schools run by Raghukul Shiksha Samiti in Jaipur. In the next one year, we aim to achieve following goals:
- A collective school vision :Through multiple discussions between all the members of school network.
- 60%+ increase in number of students. This will happen by taking classroom impact to the community through monthly newsletters created by our children and final end of the year showcase.
- Our School Head would be consciously working towards investing her team in the School Quality Enhancement. This will happen with constant Leadership Development Conversations with the Principal.
For our project this year we have started this fund raising campaign. The money raised from this campaign will be used to create a learning atmosphere in school.

We finally have a school vision, our very own school pledge and prioritized values and life skills that we would want to focus on this year.
Our collective vision:
We asked our parents, teachers and students about their vision. Collectively this is what we all aspire for:
Three Rs - To raise respectful, responsible and rational leaders through an education that encourages them to dream, brings out their interest, is connected to their day to day life, enables them to make a well informed and well thought decision between right and wrong and makes them more aware of themselves as well as their surroundings.

Based on our school vision one of our change makers Shivani wrote a School Pledge which we all (Teachers and students alike) speak in the assembly everyday these days.

That's how our Saturdays look like! Non-academic but a lot of learning. :D

Pictures in the beginning: Our kids did a nukkad natak on importance of education in the community on the occasion of Independence Day ; Pictures in the middle: To celebrate DaanUtsav our kids gave baaiji an early off by cleaning the whole school on their own. Through this they learnt to be responsible and realised how happiness can be derived from making others happy. ; Picture at the end: On the occasion of Diwalli our kids made Rangoli class wise and decorated Diyas. We celebrated a colorful and happy Diwali in our school. And on Eid our kids hugged each other and wished Eid Mubarak.
With these updates, we take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been contributing in this journey. Gratitude can never be expressed in few words but here is a little attempt. :)
Please help us raise the funds and make this school an excellent one!
Gratitude,
Team :)
