My Story
Last October, I was awarded 2nd runner-up Mr. Karnataka at a pageant event hosted by VB Creations Mr & Ms. Karnataka. It came to me as a shock to me but I realized it was the first step towards my long-term dream of participating in the Mr. India competition. But the journey hasn’t been easy.
My father is a gardener and my mother is a maid. From my childhood, we have been through many hurdles and we have somehow overcome them. I had to start working early on from the age of 15 washing cars to support my family. Many people around me have always discouraged my choices because of my parent’s background and my dark skin complexion. Despite that, I decided to pursue this and reach where I want to get through hard work and persistence.
I currently work at an NGO in Bangalore as an executive and my income goes towards supporting my family. I am seeking your support to raise funds for my venture because I have the confidence to do what it takes and I hope that a financial crisis does not come in the way of my dreams. The path to Mr. India requires a lot of hard work and commitment. I have to work towards building a fit physique and enroll in gym and training sessions. Below is a break up of my projected finances.
Budget
Personal Training – 72,000/- for 8 months
Gym fees – 9,000/- for a year
Food and supplements – 1,95,000/- for a year
Cosmetics and Saloon Charges – 50,000/- for a year
Skin and Hair Treatment – 40,000/- for an year
Clothes and accessories – 40,000/-
Travelling and accommodation – 30,000/-
Portfolio and photographs – 60,000/-
The total amount need to be raised is 4,96,000/-
