Current Situation
The second wave has been nothing short of a nightmare for India!

However, a more disturbing theme emerging from discussions of epidemiologists & COVID experts like Dr. Devi Shetty is that the 3rd wave might be especially brutal for children. The reasons this has a high likelihood of happening are:

NO vaccination for this age group as yet
No / little infrastructure in most of India to tackle severe & critical cases for children (lack of Paediatric & Neo Natal ICU facilities)

A typical Paediatric ICU facility requires 2-4 weeks to set up and ~INR65 Lakhs to set up. We believe the time is NOW to take comprehensive preventive action to be better prepared for the onslaught that might befall us.

Who are we?

We are a collective of ISB alumni from diverse fields, supported by the ISB Alumni Association, coming together with a common singular purpose - to RISE UP. We aim to rise up to the need of the hour.

For the most underserved and underfunded communities.

We commit to rise up to our responsibility to pool in all our resources, collective knowledge, network and time to make things a little better than they currently are.

All members of RISE UP are working on this Pro Bono and hence there are no admin fees associated with this campaign and every $/Rs contributed goes directly to the beneficiary. A complete live dashboard will be made available to track progress.

What are we doing?

Our 1st project is as follows:

Set up of 10 Bed Paediatric ICU in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh
Setup of 10 Bed Paediatric ICU in Almora, Uttarakhand

RISE UP is working hand in hand with District Magistrate of Ballia, Ms Aditi Singh (IAS), Divisional Commissioner of Azamgarh, Mr Vijay Vishwaas Pant (IAS) & District Magistrate of Almora, Mr Nitin Singh Bhadauria (IAS) and their offices to achieve maximum impact.

1) Are there any fees associated with the campaign?
No. Milaap is a free fundraising platform. We do not deduct any fees from your donation. You are however welcome to make a voluntary tip to cover for our expenses, while making the donation.
