Help Deserving Poor Kids Get Quality Education

We at King's Educational Trust identified Kondanagaram village panchayat on the western end of Tirunelveli city coporation to start a school and to provide quality education to the poor and deserving students of nearby 20 villages to elevate the life standards of the disadvantaged kids from daily wage earning families. Our school has classes from Lower Kindergarten upto 10th standard (SSLC - Secondary School Leaving Certificate ).

King's Matriculation School has been providing quality education and overall personality development which would gear them towards quality college education and secure gainful employment as first degree holders of the family.

Though our infrastructure and teaching are good the poor students cannot pay any fees due to their poverty. They prefer government schools due to freebies like no school fees, free uniform and books and various other free handouts at government schools.

If we provide total free education, free transportation and free lunch it would help these poor kids study at our quality education imparting school.  On an average we calculated the schooling expenses of 1 kid including all sorts of school fees, special fees, free books and note books, free uniforms-shoes, ID badges, belt and tie, free stationary, free van transportation by school vans from surrounding 20 villages and nutritious free lunch for all students to be Rs.2000 per month. If we enroll 500 students and a monthly expense of Rs.2000 per kid per month, we would arrive at a monthly expense of Rs10,00,000.00 ( Rupees Ten Lakhs ). That is a monthly budget of Rupees 10 lakhs would be needed to provide quality English medium education to these deserving 500 poor kids.

Our school alumni from the passed out 10th standard SSLC students  of the six sets of SSLC passouts have achieved great success in their lives by securing good jobs after getting college degrees, diplomas in engineering and degrees in engineering colleges like BE, B.Tech, Engineers, Diploma technicians etc. They remain thankful and satisfied with the good foundation they received at King's Matriculation school.

This is one way and best way of helping the poor rural kids achieve good education with sound knowledge which will help them acquire good jobs and raise the standard of life for themselves, their families and their communities and villages they live in.

Dear Folks,

The school is progressing though under struggling financial situation. The admissions are low and enrolment has to rise in the coming months and especially we need more financial support to run the school next academic year starting June 2019.
