Udaan Education Research Foundation, an NGO run by a few youths who are themselves students, primarily works for socio-cultural and educational development of underprivileged classes in Barak Valley region in Assam.
As part of our mission, we have meticulously chosen some students to be provided financial support, most of whom are girls from the minority community. They come from remote villages and extremely poor families from the three districts of the Valley---Cachar, Haliakandi and Karimganj, and have just taken admission in the Higher Secondary 1st year. All of them have scored above 60% marks (and most of whom got 75% and more) in their HSLC (10th) Exam, but cannot afford to continue their studies without our help. Therefore, despite literally having no fund of our own, we exclusively banked on your Samaritan spirit and have decided to bear all their educational expenses including tuition, hostel (if required), transportation, uniforms, books and stationery, for upcoming two years of their higher secondary course.
At such a testing time of Covid19, when a huge chunk of our population has lost their livelihoods, it is our moral duty to make sure these kids don’t discontinue chasing their dreams. Please donate generously and thereby stand beside these youngsters who nurture big goals like becoming doctors, engineers, bureaucrats and professors, but don’t have the resources to translate them into reality.
