PSG Alumni - Help To Educate Programme

Hi Friends, hope all are doing good and had a successful 2018 and wishing for a prosperous 2019. The PSG Alumni, Help-to-Educate program is back this year. First of all, thanks a lot for your generous contributions and overwhelming response last year. We are extremely happy to inform that our friend Ms. Vijayalakshmi, whom we supported last year stood first in her class and got placed in Infosys. It is a proud moment for all of us to see that something that we had done together has changed a person’s life. This year too we wish to help out more kids!!! For the new donors who may come on board this year, we have briefed the motive of this fundraising campaign and the process so that you can take an informed decision☺
Motive:
As a group, we firmly believe that 'to educate a child is to turn walls in to doors' and greater the number of hands that join together, easier it would bring down shackles that stand up against education. Together, we strive to do it!!

  • Who are 'WE'? We are a group of PSG-TECH alumnus who are related to one another through our college NSS program. We started this initiative back in 2014 and it’s been 5 golden years since then. Having been a part of NSS during our college days we, like any other fellow Techian,we  have always wanted to contribute to the society in some way or the other. So by the virtue of like-mindedness of our thoughts and belief in the goodness of our intention, we wanted to find out a way to mobilize funds to support the education of the deserving, which has given rise to this campaign!!
  • How it works? A set of volunteers from the current batch of NSS, PSG TECH will select the beneficiaries based on their academic performance and financial background. Another set of NSS Alumni help in raising funds from their fellow batch-mates across all departments, post which the raised funds will go towards supporting the selected candidates. Post mobilization and distribution, our volunteers are in constant touch with the candidates to understand their progress and support them throughout their journey!!
  • Success comes through  striving for it. In the entire 5 years, since we started, 4 students passed out and got placed in their dream companies and tasted success. Please extend your generous support make this initiative a big Success. Thank you
