Precious Paws Foundation
Precious Paws was set up in 2012 by Debadrita Ghosh with the aim of helping our canine friends that are in imminent danger, be it:
• abandoned pets that cannot survive on the streets
• stray pup’s and mothers exposed to abuse and killed for meat
• simply sick and injured street dogs
Thousands of pups and kittens are born in India every about 25 weeks in this cruel world. Most are crushed by vehicles, killed for meat or die slowly suffering each day. Those that survive are forever orphaned. Only a tiny fraction gets adopted.

Proposal for the make over of PPF shelter
Our shelter is extremely under spaced & under resourced, not fair on the animals that live in it. We need a serious makeover to cater to our growing activities, effectively and efficiently. We need funds and a lot of it to be able to sustain and meet basic needs.
Our plan is to role out the makeover in phases, for:
• making the shelter more liveable and better operable
• welcome volunteers and youth through awareness campaigns
• showcasing pets in a friendly atmosphere for friendly and easy adoption
• provide safe and secure space for animals that need to be quarantined due to health or behavioural reasons.
