Hello!!
I am Pranika Jatia of class 12 th student doing an internship in a non government organisation (NGO) "HAMARI PEHCHAN". In this ngo we are aiming towards making lives of underprivileged people in India a little easy by providing basic necessities.
I'm working on the project called "SUKHAD". in this project we help underprivileged women to get educated about what menstruation/ periods is and it is completely normal to happen and it's not a taboo and nothing to be ashamed of. Also we are providing them with sanitary pads for 1 year spend their periods comfortably and safely by doing this they will not use unhygienic clothes which causes infection
The ngo is planning to distribute around 50000 Sukhad kits to the underprivileged women
We are not only helping these women with better menstrual hygiene but also we aim at giving work to underprivileged women under the 'Skill Development Project' in this we've decided to engage underprivileged women in the production of paper bags and paper envelopes so that they can earn their livelihood from the same and become "Atma Nirbhar"
Hamari Pahchan Ngo is going to organize another mass distribution on World Menstrual Hygiene Day i.e. 28th May 2021.
Project Sukhad is in desperate need of an hour, and we must all come together to help.
WE ARE PLANNING TO DISTRIBUTE AROUND 7 K SUKHAD KITS TO UNDERPRIVILEGED WOMEN.
Per kit price: Sukhad kit for 1 woman = Rs. 1,400/-
Sukhad kits for 5 women = Rs 7,000/-
KIT INCLUDES:
24 packets of sanitary pad
6 packets of soap
Disposable paper envelopes
I respectfully request that you all donate to this cause. Even a single penny makes a significant difference. I could tell a difference. The more you participate, the more I'll be able to assist these ladies with their menstrual issues.
