What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

HIV/AIDS rates continue to increase around the world, particularly in India Salem located in Tamilnadu. In our project, HIV infected people get treatment and counseling in various sources (from government and private sector). But nutritious food is the main burden for their survival. Through our project we consider children’s and women. HIV infected children’s are maximum school dropouts due ill health. In our project we registered 1420 HIV infections.

How will this project solve this problem?

Most of Our PLWHA clients children’s are school dropout children due to the ill health. We work with HIV infected school dropout children by providing nutrition and spiritual counseling to children and to help children to continue their education and monitoring with regular meetings and home visits. Nutrition, education, and communication. Adequate care and feeding practices also depend on information delivered through existing community and home-based care organizations.

Potential Long Term Impact

We will support 5000 children through nutrition support programmes due to ill health. Most of their children are school dropouts. We monitor these children and help them to continue their education and stay healthy by improving their daily activities without support of others.
