The second wave of this ongoing pandemic has affected not only adults but children too. I have heard that many kids have lost their parents due to COVID-19 and there is no one to take care of them. There are others who have been tested positive but their parents can’t afford their treatment. The other day my dad was telling me how a kid’s parents were hospitalised and he was home alone with no one to take care of him and even his neighbours were scared to take him in because of COVID. There are others whose parents have lost their jobs and can’t afford to even buy food.

Hearing all this is making me realize how fortunate I am that I don’t have to deal with any such hardships. I am at home with my parents; I get to play with my dog; I get to play online games with my friends. I feel blessed.

I know I am NOT going to be JUST A BRICK in the WALLI am going to help the best I can.

Through my dad, I learnt about Whitfield Rising which is a citizen-led not-for-profit group in Bangalore, India, which is trying to help kids who have been affected by COVID-19. Through this fundraiser, I want to help them raise money so that they can -

  • Setup Covid Care Centers for children who have been tested Covid+
  • Take care of children who are home alone
  •  Buy medicines, treatments, essentials (meals, milk) for the children

Dear friends, I request you to help me help these children. You can -
  • donate your pocket money
  • ask your parents to donate
  • ask your friends, classmates, schoolmates, teachers, uncles, and aunts to help me help these children.
