Muktajeevan is an orphanage for children afflicted by AIDS, located in Shahapur, near Mumbai. We, at the Rotaract Club of Mumbai Shivaji Park, have been associated with the children in Muktajeevan for over 12 years now.

What is most unfortunate about these children is that they have to suffer from AIDS and the social stigma associated with it, despite no mistake of their own. Due to this, they are forced to more or less remain confined to their orphanage with a very very minuscule number of visitors.

Keeping this in mind, every year, we celebrate the festive season of Christmas by spending an entire day with these little angels with various fun filled learning activities. This is our own small way of reducing the social interaction deficit they are otherwise forced to face. And with learning, we do our best to create memories but what good is a memory without a gift? Like any child, they love gifts too! And a gift by Santa Claus himself? That's a dream for these little ones!

We'd be having a themed celebration during which these little angels will not only get to celebrate and create memories but also help them gain knowledge and learning from the celebration and fun filled activities.
