Help This Honest Taxi Driver Repay His Loan

Ask for an update

I am Gaurav Sharma. I work with Radio Mirchi Delhi and we are here fundraising for this honest taxi driver, Debendra Kapri. You must have read about him in most of the news papers in past few days

On the 3rd of May, 22-year-old taxi driver Debendra Kapri walked into the Domestic Airport police station in Delhi and returned a bag containing valuables worth Rupees 8 lakhs including gold jewellery, electronic gadgets and foreign currency. Kapri had dropped off a Kashmiri passenger from the airport to Paharganj and had discovered a bag left behind even as he forgot what the passenger looked like. Seen above, Debendra poses in his modest room in Mehrampur village adjoining the airport he calls home.

We got in touch with Debendra and got to know his financial situation is not great. He has a loan of 70,000 INR that he has been struggling to pay.

So with this fundraiser we wish to raise 70,000 INR. We as the people of Delhi can help this honest taxi driver get rid of his debt. Contribute now.

You can catch him talking live to Delhi's favourite radio jockey, RJ Naved morning show on May 10th.
